How secure is my data?

We take your security very seriously. From a software perspective, PoleBuddy was designed and built by two Ph.D. computer scientists (yep, we’re geeks :), so we take this all very seriously.

From a data perspective, we have point-in-time restore capability for our database, with automated database backups retained. All data-at-rest is encrypted with rotating keys

From a password perspective, all passwords are per-user salted and hashed.

From a web server perspective, all pages are served over a secure HTTP connection to verify the content sent, including with our third party API integrations. This includes any media that you may upload to us.

Are you PCI-Compliant?

Yes. Even though your payment details never pass through our servers, we are are PCI Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) PCI-A compliant. You can view our dedicated payment FAQ at https://support.polebuddy.com/docs/faqs/payments/.

Where are you located?

We’re from Adelaide, Australia, and our servers are hosted in the US (west coast) by a major web provider.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are insured, including liability.
