Who does your payment processing?
Whilst you can manually record payments using any payment method recorded above, online payments and auto-billing uses Stripe.
What do I need to do to setup online payments?
When you create your business account in PoleBuddy, you will be prompted to create or link your Stripe account. If you did not link to Stripe when you created you account, you can integrate Stripe afterwards by going into the settings page (the gear icon in the top-right corner of the page).
What if I don’t want online payments?
Not a problem, you can set enrolments to require in person payments.
What do students have to do?
When accounts are created, a billing account with Stripe is created automatically, transparent to the user (they don’t get any notifications). This account can be managed by the user or your staff through PoleBuddy – everything is integrated. Users can enter a card for billing, which you can debit for their purchases. This can all be done through PoleBuddy.
What about security?
We take security seriously. For that reason, all our payment processing is performed by Stripe. No credit card or bank account numbers are handled by us, or are stored by us. Ever. Stripe is a global company processing payments for Uber, Kickstarter, Pinterest, and countless other international companies, meaning you can feel safe that your financial information is protected. Are you PCI-Compliant?
Yes. Even though your payment details never pass through our servers, we are are PCI Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) PCI-A compliant.
Do you use Encryption?
Yes. We use TLS encryption with our certificates provided by Comodo. You will see the following on every page of the service that verifies the use of encryption (click the image to verify).
Are you insured?
Yes, we are insured, including liability.
